Quick sketch. This is probably my fastest piece completed within 4 hours. Pretty happy with it. Odd how something you work on when you have the mood ends up nicer than the one you spent two weeks on.

Anyhoo, I imagine this scene to be after Shepard’s death where Kaidan is slowly trying to pick up the pieces in his life again and there are times where he just breaks down. In his hand is the duplicate dog tag that in my headcanon, Shepard gave it to him after the battle of Citadel because she’s just that sentimental.

“Something to keep you company when we’re not together.”

Drew this because I stupidly went to listen to the love theme from ME3 and it awakened ALL THE ANGST IN ME.

PS: I noticed my recent works have a lot of blue in them. I have no idea why I automatically go for that.

That kind of reminds me of what I thought at the end of my game. I was like "Oh good! Kaidan survived...he'll be horribly, horribly depressed...but at least, he survived..." In any case, very nice, I love Shepard's expression, happy and comforting all at once.
